I purchased this handsome turquoise set of cufflinks and tuxedo shirt studs in Santa Fe, NM about fifteen years ago for $975. The gentleman in the James Reid, Ltd. Store who sold them to me said that he had designed and crafted them. (You can see the JR Ltd. Stamp in silver on the back of the cufflink attached below.) He had remarkable violet eyes. I had heard from my hostess that Michael Wilding, Jr., lived in Santa Fe and designed high-end jewelry. So I asked him if he happened to be Ms. Taylor’s son and he quietly said that he was. I never thought to have him sign something on the receipt at the time. The James Reid, Ltd. store closed several years ago so, alas, I can’t confirm he was, indeed, the son of Ms. Taylor and her second husband, actor Michael Wilding. But there was no mistaking he had his mother’s eyes.
